Kevin Lanksford has been appointed Fleet and Specialist Vehicle Sales Director for Scania (Great Britain).
Lanksford, who will report directly to UK Truck Sales Director Martin Hay, has spent more than 27 years in the truck industry in a career spanning financial services, dealer group management and retail and fleet sales.
He succeeds David Johnson, who will retire later this year after 32 years service.
Lanksford joins Scania from Daf, where he worked as Fleet Sales Director up until the middle of 2013 before becoming Sales Director for Paccar Financial UK.
Hay said that with his broad knowledge of the heavy truck industry Lanksford brings a wealth of experience to Scania’s fleet and specialist vehicles sales operation.
He added: "While the role is based at our Milton Keynes headquarters, Kevin will spend much of his time in the field with our dealers and customers.
“Initially, he will work alongside David Johnson in order to ensure a seamless transition as he gets to know our staff and operators.
