Law Distribution has taken delivery of six Euro-6 DAF XF 480 6x2 tractor units and 13 trailers, leased from Ryder.

The tractors and trailers will joint 40 vehicles and trailers already leased to the firm by Ryder.

The 13 trailers are made up of 10 new SDC-built 13.7m long tri-axle curtainsiders and three double-deck curtainsiders of the same length.

The tractor units are on six year contract hire with full maintenance and the trailers on a similar full maintenance deal, but for five years.

John Law, transport manager for Law Distribution, said: “We have been working with Ryder since 1994. They have supported our continued growth and know our business well.”

John Murray, Ryder’s sales and marketing director, said: “We’re very proud of our enduring relationship with Law Distribution. Our engineers have worked closely with Law Distribution to ensure they receive the right power units and trailers to meet their operational needs, including rental assets to support their peak requirements.

“The specification of Microlise tracking as standard on the trailers supports Law Distribution’s operational requirement for full visibility regarding the location of all of their assets.

"This maximises uptime and ensures maintenance schedules, and compliance, are maintained.”
