Lawrence David supplies Elddis Transport with three new 15.65m longer semis

Elddis Transport has taken delivery of three new pillarless curtain-sided fuel saving longer semi-trailers from Peterborough-based Lawrence David.

They include tapered Armoursheet XL load bearing curtains that comply with EN 12642-XL ratings, and which also extend to the bodywork.

There are also custom pull-out ladders that are easy to lock away, as well as sliding coupling devices that improve the lifespan of the connecting cables by allowing them to quickly shift along the rail when cornering.

At the back of the trailers, Butt Rollers are fitted to prevent damage when loading at bays.The Elddis fleet also includes rigids with bodies supplied by Lawrence David.

Nigel Cook, MD at Elddis said: “The trailers have 15% more capacity than the standard size meaning we can carry more pallets and reduce our CO2 emissions.”
