London’s Hammersmith & Fulham council is offering LGV drivers free Driver CPC training as part of a cycling awareness initiative.

Lorry drivers that work in the borough, or in partner boroughs Kensington & Chelsea or Westminster, can access the seven hour Safer Urban Driving course at no charge.

The day consists of a theory module in the classroom and a practical module out on bikes led by an urban cycle instructor. The training counts towards professional drivers’ mandatory 35-hours of CPC training.

Courses run from June through to March of next year. Email stp@lbhf.gov.uk for more or to book a place.

Last year London’s Hackney council launched a free Driver CPC training module to boost awareness of vulnerable road users in the borough.
