The first new motorway service area (MSA)  to be developed on the M25 since Clacket Lane in 1993 began operating yesterday.

The facility between junctions 9-10 at Cobham in Surrey is run by Extra, working in partnership with Welcome Break, and has around 80 parking bays for LGVs.

It also has what is claimed to be the largest Shell filling station in the UK, with 141 fuel nozzles, six high speed LGV lanes and three Adblue pumps.

Overnight parking charges are £22 for LGVs (no meal voucher options), and  there is an array of food and drink outlets and convenience stores on site.

The service area, situated on the south side of the M25, is 2.2 miles (3.5 kilometres) south east of J10, and is accessible from both sides of the carriageway.
