Dealer and vehicle modification specialist Mac’s Trucks has opened its new 7.2-acre headquarters in Crosland Road, Huddersfield.
The company, founded in 1973 and run by the McDade family, has moved from a 32,670ft2 site in nearby Outlane that it had occupied for the past 35 years. The new facility, just off Junction 24 of the M62, features an MoT test lane, tachograph centre, custom-build workshops with overhead cranage, a purpose-built body shop and paint centre.
There are also offices, a staff canteen, vehicle wash area and parking. The move, which took three years to complete, has enabled the company to expand its number of work bays from six to 15.
Selena McDade-Smith, head of rentals at Mac’s Trucks, said: “This move into our new headquarters comes at an exciting time for us as a business. Our sales division continues to be a leader in the market, while our rental business is growing into a significant player as a result of our contract-hire approach.”
Mac’s Trucks specialises in sale, rental and modification of crane trucks, hook-loaders, beavertails, plant vehicles, removal vehicles, skip trucks and tipper grabs. It added a commercial vehicle rental division two years ago that offers contract hire.
