There are now more than a million possible configurations for MAN’s electric truck products. The MAN eTGX and eTGS models are available with a number of wheelbases, cabs, power outputs, battery combinations and specific equipment to suit different applications. Battery performance is rated up to 1.6 million kms or up to 15 years depending on use. Operators can also choose the number of batteries to optimise payload and range capabilities.

Friedrich Baumann, executive board member for sales and customer solutions at MAN Truck & Bus, said: "Bodybuilder and industry expertise has always been in MAN's DNA. In the development of our new eTrucks, we also incorporated the expertise of body manufacturers at an early stage and in a targeted manner. This enables us to offer every customer the optimum combination of electric vehicle and body for their application requirements. The new MAN eTruck fulfils all the prerequisites for the sustainable electrification of the municipal and utility sector."

MAN displayed its 4x2 and 6x2 chassis range for the first time at IFAT 2024. The trade fair, based in Munich, is an event which brings together solutions for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. MAN’s new electric trucks can be customised to suit municipal and utility sectors with zero emission powertrains.

eTGX and eTGS units from 18- to 28-tonne can be configured with three, four, five or six batteries to offer 333, 449 or 544hp. Up to nine different wheelbase options are available as well as six cab variants, steered and non-steered trailing axles, leaf air and full air suspension.

Alongside its new products, MAN presented its 360-degree eMobility Consulting at the IFAT fair. This is an opportunity to work with customers to see where electric solutions can fit into their fleets. Consultation covers vehicle deployment and suitability as well as charging infrastructure requirements. MAN is able to offer charging stations through charging infrastructure suppliers as well.

Road Transport Expo takes place from 4-6 June at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. It is completely free to attend for visitors, so why not book your place today?!
