A man has been charged following the collapse of a pedestrian bridge over the M20 in Kent last August.
A 63 year old man from Darlington was charged with dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and three counts of criminal damage, following the incident which took place between junctions 4 and 3 of the London-bound carriageway on Saturday 27 August.
Kent Police said he has been issued with a summons to appear before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on 17 February.
The motorway was closed for more than 24 hours after a digger being carried by an HGV collided with the bridge last year.
