MAN Truck & Bus UK has boosted its network coverage in the South East by cementing a partnership with Newmarket-based family dealer Manchetts.

An MAN spokesman said Manchetts, which was established in 1961, has built a strong reputation for delivering quality service to customers and “provides a strong strategic fit in support of our commitment to further developing our network coverage in terms of customer support”.

Rob Zubovic, MAN’s head of network development, (right) said: “We believe the partnership will provide a strong presence for our sales growth over the next three to five years.” Rob Manchett, dealer principal, said: “We recognised the need for an MAN presence in the area to support local demand and we are looking forward to the new opportunities this agreement will provide.

"Established within motor vehicle sales and repair since 2002 and now spanning four generations, adding MAN to the company profile of expertise and service was an obvious move. We are confident of our ability to offer and deliver a premium customer service and we feel we can grow our business working with the MAN brand.”

The dealership will be based at Manchett’s site in Newmarket which includes an ATF lane as well as a tacho bay. MAN now has 67 dealerships, of which 16 are wholly owned and the remaining 51 are private capital dealerships.
