Manheim is remembering the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings with an original truck used in Normandy on display.
“Nancy” was amongst the first vehicles to land on Juno Beach in 1944 during D-Day and, now fully restored, was reintroduced to her driver from the day, David Teacher, in 2023.
The veteran of 83 Regiment was the first person to drive the truck, named after his wife who he married in 1943, through six feet of water onto the beach.
Manheim is at the show to promote their nationwide auctions of truck, trailer, plant and machinery, with seven centres across the country and more than eight auctions per month.
