An auction of 100 Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions commercial vehicles organised by Manheim posted a record offsite total hammer value of £1.02m.
The auction, held at Hitachi’s Trowbridge headquarters, broke all Manheim’s previous offsite CV auction records with its largest offsite buyer audience yet (260), the highest percentage of online bids received (80%) and highest percentage sold online (57%).
A total of 14% of buyers attended in person, with the rest logging in via Manheim’s Simulcast bidding platform.The drive-through event featured live video and audio streaming and eight out of 10 vans received an online bid.
