Meachers Group unveiled its new branding last week as it adapts to the changing marketplace. The firm changed its name earlier this year to Meachers Global Logistics (MT 6 August) in order to better reflect the range of services it offers; existing brands Meachers Transport and Warehousing and Oast Agencies will be absorbed within it. Unveiling the new livery at the launch event, MD Bob Terris tells MT: "This is a big opportunity to better represent everything we have to offer. Most customers are using all of our services and that is going to be the future. This is a platform to attract new clients and advertise the fact we are a one-stop shop."

He says while storage is thriving, with nine warehouses being used at full capacity, road transport accounts for only approximately 6% of business.

"Transport has become smaller for us, but lorries still present our image on the road. Although road haulage is still essential, this rebrand makes it clear we offer more than just trucks," Terris says.
