Meachers Global Logistics has replaced part of its fleet with seven new DAF trucks, including tractor units and rigids.

The Southampton-based international freight company is replacing vehicles at its Nursling headquarters with five DAF XG tractor units along with two DAF CF 26T tail lift rigids which will be used in Fair Oak for its Palletways operations.

The replacements are part of a £1.5million investment programme which will also include trailer replacements and allow the firm to bring their vehicles in to line with the London direct vision standard.

Meachers’ fleet director Jamie Terris said: “Meachers is thrilled to be investing for the future with this brand new fleet of specialist vehicles which will bring a wider range of services to our customers. The investment programme will make the Meachers brand more prominent over the entire business and allow for even more growth in the future.”

DAF Trucks will be exhibiting at Road Transport Expo at NAEC Stoneleigh (30 June to 2 July). Register now for FREE
