Kier Highways has taken delivery of a Mercedes-Benz Antos 2535 barrier rig vehicle with Palfinger crane.
The truck, which is carries out safety fence repairs and street lighting column replacements, comes with a radio remote control, a lifting capacity of 6200kg and a maximum hydraulic outreach of 14.8m.
Its Orteco HD 800 truck-mounted pile driver has a hydraulic rotation system, as well as the ability to deliver 680 blows per minute with a 1060 joule hammer.
Extra features include hydraulic, tiltable support legs; non-slip access stairs with safety door; integrated hand hygiene dispensers; work lighting; large storage compartments and vehicle markings.
The vehicle was supplied by Northside Truck and Van for LC Vehicle Hire, who contracted TH White to install the cranes and provide the Orteco piling equipment alongside the specialist bodywork.
