Mercedes-Benz UK will promote its work via the Clocs initiative at this year’s IAA Show in Hannover, Germany.

Speaking to delegates at a Clocs seminar at the Tip-Ex Show in Harrogate earlier this month, Ross Paterson, head of sales engineering at Mercedes-Benz UK, said parent firm Daimler is keen to work with its UK division to promote it across Europe.

“It’s imperative to know that Europe is watching this,” he said.

In Hannover, Mercedes-Benz will be displaying a construction sector Econic model provided by customer Tarmac with mixer body.

Since the launch of Clocs three years ago, more than 130 high-vision trucks have been registered for use on UK roads. During that time more than 20,000 trucks have been fitted with additional safety equipment to protect vulnerable road users.
