Meritor has added a two-year and unlimited mileage warranty to all of its remanufactured brake calipers.
The extended warranty will apply to the European aftermarket for truck and bus caliper products and increases the guarantee period by an additional 12 months.
Meritor says it has seen an increase in its remanufactured components by the independent aftermarket due to their environmental and cost benefits, and reflects a widespread demand for remanufactured major components.
Andy Hill, senior business line manager for aftermarket in Europe at Meritor, said: “We’re committed to ensuring Meritor remanufactured products offer equal performance to the original, we use the same components or components tested to the same standards. This extended warranty reflects our belief that these standards can be delivered consistently across all customers. Our aim is to continue developing remanufacturing technology further for many years to come, matching the sustainability aims of our customers and that of our business.”
