Shown on a Dennison tri-axle trailer chassis, the Mk3 Megalift is a versatile new crane with an impressive 39-tonne capacity and the ability to lift fully loaded containers to and from other trucks that are positioned alongside each other.
“Think about it as a mobile reach stacker rather than just a self-loading trailer,” says Megalift MD Meredith Hall.
“Imagine you have 100 trailers going to a remote area. You don’t need to go back and forth 100 times. You just send one Megalift and 99 normal trucks and trailers.”
Hall praised this year’s show, and says that he’s already obtained some solid leads from visitors to his Orange Zone stand.
“Although Megalift is designed and manufactured in Ireland, the UK is a very important market to us. It’s good to be here.”
