Following a successful outing at last year’s Road Transport Expo (RTX), Aftercare Response will be heading back to NAEC Stoneleigh next week to chat to operators about their fleet maintenance requirements.

Commercialmotor.com caught up with Dean Miller, head of sales development at the business, to find out what was in store for this year’s RTX stand.

CM: You exhibited at RTX in 2023. How was the show for Aftercare Response and what encouraged you to sign up again?

“We had a brilliant time at the show last year, there was a really positive and upbeat atmosphere, and we enjoyed high footfall in and around our stand.

“We had many interesting and productive conversations with our existing customers and suppliers and made some great connections that we have continued to foster into 2024.”

What are you most looking forward to about RTX 2024?

“We always look forward to the combination of learning, networking – and fun – that RTX offers.

“We’re particularly pleased that the show days have changed to Tuesday – Thursday in response to exhibitor feedback – I think that this will give the show a real boost.

“RTX 2024 promises to be bigger and better than ever!”

A year has passed since RTX 2023. What’s changed at Aftercare Response since then?

“As a business we’re continually evolving our service offering to ensure that we’re meeting the needs of the industry.

“At the end of 2023, we introduced extensive maintenance and support packages for utility and welfare vehicle fleets. This new service provides improved vehicle uptime and flexibility for operators, with our engineers attending customer locations to provide vital PAT testing and inverter/compressor inspections and servicing.

“Our team of nationwide engineers has continued to grow to support our service expansion, with over 65 engineers and two lead engineers now in the field.”

What do you think the hot topic for visitors to your stand will be at RTX 2024?

“Ultimately, vehicle fleets are operating at a much higher utilisation than previous years. The pressure to ensure vehicle uptime is at an all-time high for fleet users – which is why our on-site services are providing such valuable support in reducing fleet expenditure.”

The business today...

Part of the multi-faceted Bevan Group and founded in 2003 (as Bevan Aftercare), today Aftercare Response is a leading provider of mobile maintenance and breakdown services in the UK, specialising in ancillary equipment servicing and commercial vehicle body repairs.

The range of services offered includes: on-site repairs; tail-lift installation, maintenance, servicing and repair; fleet maintenance contracts; OEM warranty work; and nationwide emergency roadside assistance – available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The mobile maintenance specialist believes its on-site service offering is what really sets it apart: 95% of jobs are completed on-site at customer premises nationwide, reducing vehicle downtime and overall fleet mileage and emissions, as well as fuel and driver costs.

Road Transport Expo takes place from 4-6 June at NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire. It is completely free to attend for visitors, so why not find out more about this bumper summer tradeshow and book your place today?!
