Motor Transport gets a new editor

MT has a new editor, Steve Hobson, who joins the publication this week.

Hobson has been editor of Utility Week for four years. He's no stranger to the transport industry, having been a reporter on MT 20 years ago, and acting content editor for the Road Transport Group last year.

He says: "It is great to be back in the road transport sector, which, like utilities, is one of the unsung heroes of the UK economy."

He will front and play a major role in organising the MT Awards and will chair MT's roundtables.

Former MT editor Justin Stanton has joined sister publication Commercial Motor as editor, following editor-in-chief Brian Weatherley's decision to step down.Weatherley will still be involved with CM, as a freelance writer and as editor of the Biglorryblog.
