London plant hire company Mr Plant Hire has taken delivery of a new Renault Trucks C430 tag axle 8x2.

The new C430 joins the 8-strong predominantly Renault Trucks fleet on a like-for-like replacement as part of the company’s 5-year renewal programme. Two additional Renault Trucks are also in build including the company’s first 44-tonne T460 6x2 midlift tractor unit with low loader, which will be delivered in early 2023. The other unit is a D18 4x2 rigid with beavertail.

Supplied by Norfolk Truck and Van, the new Range C has been selected as the company’s flagship vehicle and will be liveried with new company branding.

“Our latest addition to the fleet is the first in our company’s new branding, which our new MD Steven King has brought in to freshen things up,” explained Oliver Simson, transport manager at Mr Plant Hire.

The new Range C430 8x2 tag with Sterling beavertail body has rear steer and air suspension at the back to allow the Mr Plant Hire to vary the height. This will help when going onto an awkward site or when picking up an awkward machine.

Simson added: “The new C430 gives a good performance and our driver, who is out in it all day, says is probably the most comfortable truck he’s driven. The new C430 is not only a real head turner, it’s a great performer, reliable and is keeping our driver very happy.”
