Truck manufacturers join forces to kick-start EV charging network

MV Commercial was represented at this weekend's Convoy on the Plain truck show at Thruxton Raceway by its Oxfordshire depot.
Business development manager for the south Steve Horne says the branch, which is located at Enstone, has been incredibly busy since opening on 1 March.
“Because of our location, we are renting a lot of construction vehicles to operators wanting Euro-6 trucks to comply with current and future low emission zones in London, Bath and Birmingham,” said Horne. “We are also putting a lot of 8x4 tippers into operators with HS2 contracts.”
Horne said MV Commercial has a constant supply of Thompsons-bodied tippers in build, and is able to supply new vehicles by September, which is considerably quicker than many competitors.
On its stand it also had a selection of used trucks, including this 2020 Scania P360 XT 6x4. Complete with Thompsons muck-away body and full camera kit, the high-specification 26-tonner has covered just 34,000km and is offered with a three month MV Commercial driveline warranty. It is available immediately for £105,500.
