Ben Bennett Jr's new flagship Volvo is king of the quarry at its Grange Mill headquarters in Derbyshire.
The FH 6x4 tractor unit, which replaces an older Volvo, is making national deliveries of limestone filler and granules from the site.
Transport manager Steve Woolliscroft said: “The driver of this particular truck always keeps his vehicles in immaculate condition, so when it came to replacing his old Volvo FH we wanted to do something a bit special.”
Crossroads Truck and Bus at Rotherham fitted multiple bells and whistles to the 500hp truck, including a built-in tool box, aluminium side skirts and a full paintwork job.
The truck is coupled to a Feldbinder powder tanker, which carries the limestone products to be used in the production of, among other things, glass, pharmaceuticals and roofing felt.
- Volvo and Feldbinder are exhibiting at Tip-ex and Tank-ex, which open today. You can still make it, so register for free online and visit the shows in Harrogate until 3 June.
