Scania is constructing another South East dealership on a three acre greenfield site just off the M23 motorway, south of Crawley.

The new facility, adjacent to the Pease Pottage Service area and known as Scania Gatwick, will include four drive-through workshop bays, facilities for gas-powered and petroleum regulations vehicles as well as an ATF lane.

There will also be new and used truck sales, rentals and a full parts service, including parts for all makes and trailers.

Scania Gatwick is due to open in late autumn 2018 or early 2019, and when finished the manufacturer’s current branches in Lingfield and

Lewes will be merged into the new facility, with all employees transferring across.

The building will be of a similar design to Scania’s Maidstone dealership which opened in December 2015.

According to the manufacturer, the premises will provide a bright and modern work environment and be equipped with the very latest specialist tools and diagnostic equipment.

Adrian Inscoe, Scania's regional executive director for the South East, said: “Gallagher Properties, which constructed Scania Maidstone, will once again be our partners in creating Scania Gatwick.

"We are now very much looking forward to the opening and going on to deliver the very highest levels of service to all commercial vehicle operators in the area."
