Tippers ‘R’ Us has opened a £10m headquarters on a former quarry near Ipswich. The 44-acre site in Kesgrave, Suffolk, includes a workshop, automated truck wash and open-plan offices.
There is also a forecourt displaying new and used trucks for hire or sale, such as the 10 FMX 8x4 tippers with Boweld Taperlite tipping bodies and Edbro tipping gear it purchased earlier this year from Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia. An aggregates recycling operation at the site is able to produce 1,400 tonnes of sand and stone products per day.
The business employs about 50 people, but MD Guy Nicholls hopes to double the workforce over the next few months. “Our headquarters is a result of two years of hard work from the brilliant team who we have been working with and every aspect of the site is of the highest quality,” he said.
