Mac’s Truck Rental has announced a 12-month expansion plan which includes opening a new site in Outlane, Huddersfield. The site has seen a refresh inside the building featuring new office spaces, customer handover area and upgraded workshops. Mac’s plans to maintain a fleet of 200 vehicles at this location.

Jeff Wright, sales director at Mac’s Truck Rental said: “Our experienced team at the new depot will deliver even higher levels of service and efficiency, reinforcing our commitment to exceeding customer expectations. The new site is key to helping us expand our footprint and be better placed for full UK coverage, with our depots in the North West, Perthshire, and a new southern hub coming in 2025.

“Compared to the more ‘traditional' truck rental companies, we have the ability to design and build market-leading truck bodies to stock chassis, plus access a wide range of in-stock ready to rent vehicles, allowing us to rapidly respond to our customers needs and give them exactly what they need rather than just giving them a standard truck”.

Gerard Dockrell, head of rental said: “This investment is already transforming our service capabilities, with faster turnarounds, enhanced call handling, and advanced workshop facilities, ensuring we continue to raise the bar in the industry. We’ve also expanded our workforce with local talent, and plan to grow further as we continue on this exciting path.

“The location of our new depot is one that allows easy access, conveniently situated just off J23 (eastbound ) and J24 (westbound) of the M62. Macs Truck Rental’s fleet is one of the youngest in the industry, and our ability to design and build our own trucks to our customer’s exact specifications is invaluable. Whether for short, mid or long term, we can deliver the right product and service for our customers”
