Power pack: Webasto’s new modular, scalable battery pack system is taking pride of place at the centre of its stand. Ideal for a variety of vehicle applications, and configurable for voltage ranges from 400V to 800V, the 35kWh batteries are stackable to up to 10 packs (350kWh). Combining durability, safety and performance, they are designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -30C to 60C. The batteries, which were first shown at the CV Show two years ago, are designed for use in all commercial and passenger-carrying vehicles. Market manager truck and aftermarket Jon Jennings said that while electrification was still in its infancy, the battery packs were attracting a lot of interest at the show.
