MAN operators can now take advantage of over-the-air (OTA) software updates direct to their vehicles. Based on the MAN Now platform, installed on current models, the facility will give the ability to access an expanding range of features, beamed direct to the truck. The service is now active in the UK, EU, Norway and Switzerland.

The first stage of the project is MAN OnlineTraffic, which provides real-time truck-specific traffic information, allowing automatic re-routing if required, throughout Europe direct to the MAN media systems Navigation Advanced and Navigation Professional. One year of free access is included with Navigation Advanced, doubled for Navigation Professional users

Other features will be added during 2021, the next being MAN MapUpdate, with fuel consumption reduction software, gearbox driving programmes and additional language packs among those to follow.
