New VW Caddy unveiled

Volkswagen has released preliminary details of its new Caddy and Caddy Maxi ranges ahead of the public launch at the IAA Hannover Show, which opens to the public on 23 September.

Externally, the new models incorporate the latest VW family styling details, while the inside is also heavily revised. Beneath the bodywork are four new Euro-5 TDI engines, a 1.6-litre rated at 75 or 102PS and a 2.0-litre at 110 and 140PS. Transmission options will include the latest seven-speed DSG automated manual and 4Motion four-wheel-drive.

The 1.6 will also be available as a high-efficiency BlueMotion version, with Stop-Start and battery regeneration contributing to a 129g/km CO2 figure.

PCL Transport buys 70 new Renault Premiums
