The takeover of Christian Salvesen by French logistics firm Norbert Dentressangle has moved a step closer after Salvesen shareholders approved the deal. It was given the thumbs up by the vast majority of shareholders at an EGM earlier this week with over 99% of votes in favour of the deal.
The next hurdle for the acquisition to overcome is approval from the EC’s competition authorities. A decision from the EC is due on December 6. Norbert Dentressangle says it anticipates the deal to be concluded by mid-December.
It is paying around £254m for Northampton-based Salvesen.
