
Norbert Dentressangle has been prosecuted by Wiltshire Council after it’s lorries breached a weight restriction on four separate occasions.
Volunteers of a Lorry Watch scheme reported the company after spotting the vehicles breaking the 18-tonne limit on Bradford-on-Avon’s town bridge.
On 7 October Swindon Magistrates issued a £500 fine for each offence, a £50 victim surcharge and £370.97 costs to the council; a total fine of £2,420.97.

Also prosecuted for the same offence were Mole Valley Feeds and scaffolding and fence supplier Altrad Beaver. Both firms were fined £990 each.
Mole Valley Feeds declined to comment, but a spokeswoman for Altrad Beaver said: “We are setting up a policy with regards to the type of roads used by the vehicles we have. It’s not happened to us before, it was a one-off.”
Lorry Watch volunteers reported suffering abuse from truck drivers earlier this year.
An LGV driver for Morrison Utility Services became the first individual to be prosecuted for breaching a weight limit in Bradford on Avon in April.
