Volvo calls for on-board breathalyser regs
Volvo is calling for the urgent introduction of regulations to govern on-board vehicle breathalysers, as the quality and accuracy vary enormously. "It is vital that these products are accurate and that people do not buy sub-standard ones," says Volvo director of public affairs Lennart Pilskog, "and ours are extremely precise." At £900, Volvo's Alcolock is also one of the most expensive, but the truck maker insists that it makes very little profit on every unit sold.
