Container haulier NT Whitfield (Transport) has bought eight new Dennison skeletal trailers as part of its fleet replacement programme.

The Stockton-based operator predominantly moves containers for its customers, including major shipping lines, from Liverpool and Teesport to destinations throughout the North.

It said the decision to acquire the new trailers was made off the back of its growing confidence in the economy.

NT Whitfield runs a fleet of 30 tractor units and 80 skeletal trailers and said it picked the Dennison units as, for many years now, it has liked their build quality and ease of use, coupled with good service levels from the manufacturer.

The company funded the acquisitions through Luna Finance.

MD Ian Smallman said: ‘The competitive finance package organised by Luna has allowed us to continue operating Dennison skeletals, which we find to be the best for our business.’
