O-licence applications and decisions of the week - 27 January 2017

Commercialmotor.com looks at some of the major O-licence applications and decisions that were made this week.


Whistl UK wants 80 vehicles and 80 trailers at a new site in Leafield Way, Bolton.

Knights of Old has applied to base 30 vehicles and 30 trailers at a new operating centre in Kettering Parkway, Kettering Venture Park, Kettering.

Gregory Distribution (Holdings) would like to base two vehicles and three trailers at Kuehne + Nagel’s site in Claudius Way, Wellingborough; and two vehicles and two trailers in Pusehill Road, Abbotsham, Bideford, Devon.

Moran Logistics wants to base 140 vehicles and 170 trailers at a new site in Logistics Way, Stourton, Leeds.

L Lynch (Plant Hire & Haulage) wants to increase its authorisation at its Parr Road, Stanmore site to 90 vehicles and 12 trailers, and remove its Channel Gate Road, London site from its O-licence.



Stephen Sanderson Transport has been given the green light for a new site in Causeway Road, Earlstrees Industrial Estate, Corby, where it can base 25 vehicles and 25 trailers.

Mick George has had its authorisation at its Witcham Meadlands, Block Fen, Mepal, Ely site increased to 40 vehicles and 15 trailers; and has been granted permission for a new site in Chatteris Road, Colne Fen, Cambridgeshire, where it can base 10 vehicles and three trailers.

Marston’s has had its O-licence authorisation increased to eight vehicles and four trailers at a site in Nash Road, Nash, Newport.

AF Blakemore & Son can operate 10 vehicles and five trailers at its operating centre in Harvey Combe, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

TNT UK may base 55 vehicles and 100 trailers at a new operating centre in Central Road North, Dartford.
