O-licence applications and decisions of the week – 13 January 2017

Commercialmotor.com looks at some of the major O-licence applications and decisions that were made this week.

Applications

Wincanton Group wants permission for several new operating centres in Wales. It would like four vehicles in Penarth Road, Cardiff; two vehicles in Heol y Gors, Swansea; and three vehicles in Farndon Street, Wrexham.

Pickfords Move Management has applied for a new site in Heol y Rhosog, Cardiff, where it would like to base six vehicles; and a new operating centre in Gateway Business Park, Davy Way, Hardwicke, Gloucester, where it would base five vehicles.

Transam Trucking would like to base 80 vehicles and 80 trailers in Castleton Way, Eye, Suffolk.

Moran Logistics is seeking permission for 120 vehicle and 140 trailers at a new operating centre in Arundel Avenue, Castle Donington.

Eddie Stobart has applied for a new operating centre at Aggregate Industries UK’s site in Wanstrow, Shepton Mallet, where it would like to base 60 vehicles and 60 trailers.

Fly By Nite Conferences wants to increase its authorisation at its Broad Ground Road, Redditch site to 130 trailers.

Buffaload Logistics would like 40 vehicles and 50 trailers at Crewe Distribution Centre, Gateway, Crewe.

Decisions

DHL Supply Chain may operate 10 vehicles and 10 trailers from a new operating centre in Horsfair Road, Bridgend; 45 vehicles and 70 trailers from Next Distribution’s site in Yorkshire Way, Armthorpe, Doncaster; 15 vehicles and 10 trailers from Longtown, Carlisle; and 15 vehicles and 20 trailers at Spicers’ site in Dartmouth Road, Smethwick.

T Alun Jones has received an increase in authorisation at its Henfaes Lane, Welshpool site to 22 vehicles and 52 trailers.

As well as applying for a new site in the West traffic area, Eddie Stobart has had its authorisation at its site in Reg’s Way, Bardon 22 Industrial Estate, Bardon Hill, Coalville, increased to 35 vehicles and 35 trailers; and has been granted permission for two vehicles and two trailers in Airport Road West, Belfast.

UPS has had its authorisation increased to 50 vehicles and 15 trailers at its Farendell Road, Emerald Park Estate, Emersons Green, Bristol site; and to 46 vehicles and 14 trailers in Hurricane Road, Brockworth, Gloucester.

Goldstar Heathrow has permission to base eight vehicles and 10 trailers at Kuehne + Nagel’s site in Eastern Perimeter Road, London Heathrow Airport, Hounslow.
