Obituary: David Crowther

David Crowther, has died, aged 62, after losing his fight with cancer.

Having worked for the past five years for Allison Transmissions as a consultant, David will be best known to many as Scania's head of specialist vehicles for 11 years.

He began his career as a Leyland truck salesman in 1972, going on to work for Leyland DAF and MAN distributors, He eventually specialised in the refuse vehicle sector, working in turn for Jack Allen, Glover Webb and Trio Containers.

The funeral took place on 14 December.
