Obituary: Derek Ellis

The funeral for Derek Ellis, chairman of Rutland-based C S Ellis (Group), will be held on Thursday 17 February after he died at the end of January.

Ellis worked in the industry for more than 50 years and was one of four generations to work at C S Ellis (Group). He will be sadly missed by both family and colleagues.

The funeral will take place at 2pm at St John the Baptist Church in North Luffenham, Rutland. His family have asked for family flowers only, but donations in Ellis's name to the charity Diabetes UK are welcome.

He was an avid restorer of vintage vehicles and the Ellis family plans to use the last vehicle bought for restoration, a 1934 Foden, as the funeral car.
