Commercial Motor reader, Richard Deacon was taken on his final journey to St. Peter’s Church Claybrooke Parva on a 1950 Leyland Beaver.

Richard owned and operated Eurowalk, which was a development from European Environment Logistics during October 2011, with the company specialising in walking floor trailers from its Ullesthorpe base.

Currently 25 trailers are pulled by 15 tractors units carrying diverse cargos ranging from wine to plasterboard to and from European destinations.

More than 150 people saw Richard leave the yard on the Leyland Beaver and the cortege included Tractors, from Eurowalk & Subcontractors and two Recovery Rigids from Crouch Recovery, who support Eurowalk throughout Europe.

Richard is deeply missed by his wife Jackie, children Sam, Sarah, Charlotte & Jorja, brother-in-laws Ellis & Adam and his father-in-law, Ellis Taylor Senior.
