Ocado has snapped up its second distribution centre this year, to expand deliveries to south-west England and south Wales.
The online grocery retailer has purchased a small facility in Bristol, expected to be operational by March 2011.
Andrew Bracey, chief financial officer at Ocado, says: "Our new distribution site in the Bristol area will enable Ocado to service another 1.5 million households in Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and surrounding areas. It will bring approximately 100 jobs to the region."
The investment comes shortly after the company confirmed its acquisition of a West Midlands site for a new £210m DC, which will create 2,000 jobs.
The two new sites will support the firm's existing site in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
The business, which recently listed on the London Stock Exchange with a value of just under £1bn, carries more than 20,000 product lines including Waitrose and John Lewis-branded goods, alongside a growing own-label range.
