Oldhams Transport has purchased Draycote Continentale Transport from administration.
The Warwick-based haulier bought the Rugby business from joint administrators Menzies Corporate Restructuring, (MCR), earlier this month.
Draycote had gone into administration after the loss of two major customers, rising costs and poor cashflow.
Robert Ponting, commercial director at Cannon Group, parent company of Oldhams Transport, says: "We can't give details about the financial figures involved, but we have purchased about 30 trucks and vans, mainly Scanias, plus a similar number of trailers.
"The reason for the move was strategic, Oldhams and Draycote are located near to each other and this is a nice fit. We bought Oldhams last year and this is about us growing the business in that area.
"No decision has been made as yet about whether the Draycote name will be retained."
MCR were appointed joint administrators to Draycote Transport on 13 August. The business was sold to Oldhams, as a going concern, the same day.
All of Draycote's 50 staff have been transferred to the new owners and it is expected the business will continue to trade as a going concern.
An MCR spokesman says: "The creditors will have a claim against the company in administration.
"The administrators will continue to realise any assets not included in the sale to Oldhams Transport Limited. The level of realisations will determine whether a dividend can be paid out to creditors."
Draycote has traded as a warehousing and distribution company since 1982, specialising in pharmaceuticals, papers and confectionery.
