The CV Show makes a welcome return to the transport calendar in April 2011 after a two-year break. To introduce some of the key people who will be running stands at the show, we are asking them to take part in an informal One Minute Interview.

If you would like to take the One Minute Interview challenge please email steve.hobson@roadtransport.com.

Steve Coffin, Marketing & Operations Director at MiX Telematics, explains why the CV Show is a great showcase - and why Anne Widdecombe would be his dream dinner party guest.

Why are you exhibiting at the 2011 Commercial Vehicle Show?

Because we want to save transport operators vast amounts of money.

What do you think visitors will get out of a trip to the Show?

If they subscribe to one of our products as a result, a significant boost to their bottom line!

Why does the UK need a major annual road transport exhibition?

It's the best way to showcase products, network and begin to develop new opportunities.

Where in the economic cycle do you expect the transport industry to be by April next year?

Hopefully looking forward with more confidence and ready to invest in technology that can really make a difference.

How has 2010 been for you?

It’s been a challenging year, the rewards have been in proving the quantifiable benefits that we have delivered to our new clients.

What do you think has been the most significant development in the road transport industry in the last five years?

Undoubtedly RIBAS, our unique in-cab display which provides drivers with instant feedback on their driving style thereby enabling them to drive more efficiently, economically and safely.

How did you get into the industry?

I wanted to be a long-distance lorry driver as a child and have always been fascinated by big trucks.

What is the best thing about your job?

The people you meet and helping them with the challenges they face.

Who do you most admire in the road transport industry?

The innovators, of whom there are far too many to mention.

How do you see the industry developing in the next five years?

Becoming more environmentally driven and more efficient and innovative as a result.

Who would be on the guest list (dead or alive) for your dream dinner party?

Just me and Anne Widdecombe - I could do with some dance lessons!

What makes you proud to be part of the road transport industry?

The fact that we can help operators become more efficient and profitable.

Pundits say the road transport industry delivers the economy. Do you agree, and why?

Yes, because it's true!

Can you imagine a world without vans, trucks and trailers?

Yes, but I wouldn’t want to, they still fascinate me.
