The parcel delivery firm Evri has ordered 139 twin-axle trailers from Tiger Trailers. The first batch is close to completion and the rest are due to be delivered mid Q4 in preparation for black Friday and the Christmas period. During this time, Evri expects to transport more than 3 million parcels. The trailers will feature Evri’s 50th anniversary livery and different stylised logos on 25 vehicles.
David Landy, Evri’s head of fleet, said: “We’re delighted with the new trailers, they look great and are helping us celebrate our heritage and 50 years of courier deliveries. We have a great relationship with Tiger and they have been superb in meeting our unique needs for the new trailers.”
The trailers are 4m high and feature a galvanised rear frame with integrated rear bumpers. Designed to Evri’s specifications they’re made to be robust and long lasting. Healthy and safety equipment includes a full-length stutter door strap to allow closure from ground level to minimise driver stain and a retractable Dhollandia tail-lift with P-gates to aid loading and unloading. Yellow side infills are fitted to improve VRU safety and the units have Haldex’s GEN-4 braking system with its trailer emergency module safe parking system to improve safety in the yard and on the road.
Darren Holland, Tiger Trailers’ sales director, said: “It’s fantastic that we are continuing to strengthen the relationship with the Evri team. At each enquiry stage we go through the same process of evaluation of the existing fleet to ensure that the final trailer design is perfect for the Evri operation. We are very proud of the relationship and the final trailers that we are supplying into their operation.”
Tiger Trailers supplied Evri with 200 units in 2015, 189 trailers in 2022 and this order will take its fleet of Tiger units up to more than 525.
