A salesman at Oxford Daf dealer HTC has travelled more than 600 miles to the Outer Hebrides to hand-deliver a new CF, pictured. Marcus Kemp, key accounts manager at the dealership, supplied the vehicle to Grafton Merchanting, which owns the Buildbase brand, at its depot in Stornoway.

A delivery company took two days to transport the CF310 with PX engine, dropside body and Hiab rear-mounted crane to Norscot Daf in Inverness. Kemp and his wife flew to Inverness to collect the truck.

They then drove to Ullapool where they caught the ferry to Stornoway and conducted an official handover at the town’s Buildbase branch.
