Palfinger UK has secured a long-term lease for a new service centre in London.

The site is located a mile from the south side of the Dartford Crossing and J1A of the M25. Strategically positioned to serve customers in central and greater London, the new 1,216sq m site joins Palfinger’s four UK workshops in Devizes, Bradford, Falkirk and Leicester. The London location will be equipped with an eight bay workshop with an overhead crane, secure yard space with crane testing facilities, and office and meeting spaces.

Stuart Todd, managing director of Palfinger UK said: “Adding our new London service centre is an exciting investment which represents a significant milestone in Palfinger UK’s ongoing commitment to represent the Palfinger brand, and deliver world-class support to our customers. Our senior leadership team has been working hard to bring this project to fruition for some time, and this step provides a long-awaited presence in this key location.

“As the official UK dealer of Palfinger cranes, this strengthens our ability to offer both existing and prospective customers, enhanced after-sale services, as well as improved access to our renowned sales, technical, parts and training portfolios. It will allow us to better meet the needs of more businesses across the region.”

Now Palfinger has agreed the lease for the new property, the site will be branded and kitted out over the next few months. Once a new team is in place an official opening date will be announced. Palfinger UK will provide updates via its social media channels on the development of the new site and opening plans.

As the official UK distributor for Palfinger lorry cranes and Epsilon construction, recycling and forestry cranes, Palfinger UK offers servicing in-house assembly, custom bodybuilding and lifecycle support. In 2018, Palfinger UK acquired Outreach Truck, making the company the largest provider of lorry loader cranes in the UK.
