Stoke-on-Trent-based Pallets 2 Parcels (P2P) is relocating to a larger site to cope with new business generated since joining Pall-Ex.
Mark Barfoot, commercial director at P2P, says the company has experienced steady volume growth since joining Pall-Ex in May to cover the Staffordshire area left vacant by F Swain's demise. P2P exited a two-and-a-half-year partnership with UK Pallets. As a result, the firm is set to move to a 12,000ft2 premises in Newcastle-under-Lyme in early 2011, leaving its current 4,000ft2 facility in Fenton.
"We are now covering a larger area and handling circa 130 pallets daily, we anticipate this to rise to 180 by the end of the year.
"In addition, Pall-Ex's sales team has helped us to secure a contract with Alfa Aggregates, and subcontractor work for Currie European," says Barfoot.
