Pall-Ex Polska has gone live, becoming the fifth Continental territory within the UK business’s expanding pallet network.
Run by KMC Services, it is Pall-Ex’s second Eastern European territory after Pall-Ex Romania, which launched in late 2011.
The 19-member network, which began officially operating on 13 September in Poland, joins Pall-Ex Italia, Iberia and France, which went live in May of this year, as part of the enlarged group.
Katarzyna Chabinka, CEO of Pall-Ex Polska, said: “It has been a positive start and, after months of hard work, it’s rewarding to see the hub up and running.”
Earlier this year Pall-Ex said it was looking to its members to embrace the opportunities that cross border work within a pallet network could provide, as it looks to drive a European volume boon.
The network has previously set itself the target of having a 15-country strong European network by 2015. It is expanding using, in effect, a franchise model, which has seen a sole Principal National Partner chosen to run each country-territory with support from Pall-Ex UK.
