Palletways has struck a deal with domestic solid fuel supplier White Horse Energy to handle the company’s warehousing and distribution needs.

Palletways Fulfilment, the pallet network’s warehousing business, will now store, process orders, provide a pick and pack service, and re-work where necessary White Horse Energy’s wood pellets, firewood and briquettes, ready for distribution.

The service will be provided at Palletway’s main hub at Fradley Park, where the company’s fulfilment business operates from two 50,000ft² units.

Stuart Fitzgerald, MD for White Horse Energy, says: “As our product is seasonal, we needed a logistics provider capable of reacting to significant peaks and troughs in our business and the variable cost model offered by Palletways Fulfilment provided the ideal solution for us.”

Garry Curtis, general manager at Palletways Fulfilment, adds: “ Our new contract with White Horse Energy comes at an exciting time as we are really looking to develop and grow our offering through Palletways Fulfilment.

“Ours is the only integrated supply chain solution of its type in the pallet network sector enabling us to take customer service to new heights,” says Curtis.

Last month Portsmouth firm Condor Logistics joined Palletways to take on some of the PO postcode.
