Express carrier Parceline is rebranding as DPD. The decision to change names was made by parent company La Poste Group, which owns DPD - one of the most established express delivery brands in Europe. The new uniforms and liveried vehicles will be seen immediately in the UK.
La Poste has also invested £56m in its new 27-acre super-hub in Oldbury, West Midlands. It is located one mile away from the company's existing 23-acre site in Smethwick, which will still be used by sister company Interlink Express. Kay Philips, DPD chief executive, says: "Our change in name is another exciting step forward in our corporate history, and one which will benefit our customers and our people.
"We will be more easily recognised as an international operator. It is business as usual for our existing customers with the simplicity of dealing with one brand for UK and international. "The investment by La Poste in the new super hub gives us an excellent foundation to grow our businesses further."
