It is with sadness that we report the death of Pat Currie, wife of truck and van dealer Brian Currie, who passed away last week after battling with pancreatic cancer.
“Pat started with me in 1975, delivering parts, doing all the office work, and then collecting the money,” recalls Brian. “She went on to be a service dealer for DAF, and then sales. And as we moved from one to many dealerships, so she played a central role within the administration and finance team. She did this until her illness no longer allowed it. We were a great team.”
In a message to the DAF dealer network, DAF’s UK MD Laurence Drake, said:
“Brian and Pat have been a huge part of the DAF dealer network for well over 40 years. Their influence, energy and passion for the industry and DAF brand no doubt helped the creation of the DAF family, something that has made us unique and market leading for over 25 years.
“Brian and Pat celebrated 40 years in the business back in 2015, celebrating with cake-cutting ceremony - an orange DAF truck cake (pictured)! Pat will be greatly missed by the DAF family.”
Our deepest condolences go to Brian and family at this very sad time.
