Warrington Vehicle Centre has supplied Piletec with five new Forward N75.190 4x2 rigids, replacing a batch of Isuzu vehicles which have been in use for the past four years.
The piling equipment supplier’s new trucks feature Easyshift automatic transmissions, 16ft aluminium dropside bodies and come with four-year contract hire contracts.
Each one is expected to cover more than 40,000 miles a year over the four-year period, operating out of Piletec depots in Wigan, Milton Keynes and Harlow.
Piletec’s sister company Mr Cropper has also ordered six Forward N75.190 rigids, due for delivery in April.
Darren Barton, operations manager at Piletec’s parent company VP, said: “The Isuzus certainly earnt their money, however, we needed to up spec the new trucks to be not only FORS compliant but also LEZ compliant, with the vehicles regularly running in and out of the London conurbation.
“In the last four years, we have established an excellent long-standing working relationship with Warrington Vehicle Centre and this helped enormously when we were finalising the specification for the Piletec fleet replacements, as well as the six additional vehicles for Mr Cropper.
“Their knowledge of our business and their understanding of our vehicle operations was invaluable in determining the final specification.”
