AR & PA Transport co-founder April Forder has taken the fight against breast cancer to the roads with the firm’s new Volvo FM 8x4 rigid tipper.

The truck, which was supplied by Norwich-based Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia, features a pink wrap (sponsored by the dealer) fitted by Chapple Signs of Stowmarket, intended to raise awareness of breast cancer.

Forder, who founded AR & PA Transport with her mother Paula Ann Forder, decided to take action after being impressed with the care her grandparents and sister received during their battles with cancer.

The truck, which is also used by Forder’s father Adrian who runs AJF Transport, is fitted with a Wilcox Wilcolite insulated tipper body and Edbro ram.

It has an overhead cable detector, a Brigade five-camera system, left-turn audible alert and seven close-proximity sensors positioned along the full length of the nearside.
